Kaylee Has Made It Into Books!
EXCITING NEWS!!
The books that Kaylee's pictures appear in are now available in bookstores. They are called "Life's Big Little Moments: Fathers and Daughters" and "Life's Big Little Moments: Grandmothers and Grandchildren" by Susan K. Hom. They are in the Family Relationships/ General Sections. We received advanced copies and they are really cute books. Of course they are even more special because Kaylee is in them with her Daddy, Grandmother (Maoo) and her Cousin Emily.

Kaylee Rose sung to Country Roads by John Denver:
Kaylee Rose, take me home to the place I belong Kaylee Conlon You're my baby Take me home Kaylee Rose
This was a song that Dada made up. As Kaylee got older, she would sing along with us. She really thought it was her song. She would ask to hear the "Kaylee Rose Song". We sang it at Kaylee's 2nd birthday party. The guitar lady learned the song just for KK's party. I'm so glad we sang it to her then when we had the chance. Mama always said we would embarass her and play it at her wedding. I hope she meets John Denver in Heaven and tells him he's singing the wrong words. "It's Kaylee Rose NOT Country Road"

Life's Big Little Moments
Exciting News: Kaylee's photo will be in two different books: "Life's Big Little Moments: Fathers and Daughters" and "Life's Big Little Moments: Grandmothers & Grandchildren" both being published by Sterling Publishing, Inc. They were looking for candid shots of Grandmothers, Mothers and Fathers with children. We submitted a few and the picture of Kaylee helping Daddy wash the car was chosen as well as a picture of Kaylee and her cousin Emily helping Maoo open her birthday present. We are excited because Kaylee's memory will not only live on in the hearts of so many but now in a book as well. It is very appropriate because we know how much Kaylee LOVED her books!! We have heard the books are due out around October.

Kaylee's Star
The wonderful nurses who took care of Kaylee at Schneider Children's Hospital were kind enough to have a star named after our little girl. It is in the constellation called "Andromeda" which translates to Princess. We thought that was very fitting for "Our Little Princess". So when you look up at the sky at night, remember that there is a star shining brightly down on us called "Kaylee Rose".

Donations
Donations may be made in Kaylee's memory to:
The Ronald McDonald House: online www.rmhc.com or to The Ronald McDonald House of LI 267-07 76th St New Hyde Park, NY 11042
We stayed at the Ronald McDonald House for a couple of nights while Kaylee was in the hospital. The staff and accomodations were wonderful. It is a blessing for families who have a child in the hospital and wish to be as close to them as possible.
Schneider Children's Hospital- North Shore Long Island Jewish Health System Foundation online at www.schneiderchildrenshospital.org
Kaylee was transferred to this hospital and it is where she passed away. The doctors and nurses who cared for our baby were compassionate and amazing people. They gentley guided us through those awful few days and treated our family and Kaylee with kindnesss and respect. We can never thank Kaylee's nurses enough for how they treated her in the last few days of her life.
Thank you to everyone who has made a donation in memory of our daughter. We greatly appreciate it.
